Homeless sisters in motel room have found a place to live

They are very grateful for all donations from the community to the Go-Fund Me campaign, with a total of $1,500

The two homeless sisters who were living in a single motel room since October have found a two-bedroom suite with a den for $1,300 a month plus utilities in Gibsons. They signed the lease this morning and will move in on March 1.

The Coast Clarion wrote about them in January.

They found the place on Craigslist. The property manager was aware of their plight; his parents, members of the same church as the sisters, had told him about them.

Linda and Louise are “absolutely thrilled.” The place has a utility room with a washer and dryer, so they don’t have to go to the laundromat anymore. Two friends of them  live close by, and the bus stop is within a block.

They are very grateful for the financial donations from the community. “It’s been amazing.” Someone also donated a laptop so they could find places on the internet as soon as they became available.
